K. Ryan Proctor, Ph.D.
CO-FOUNDER, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, DIRECTOR OF THEORETICAL INITIATIVES
K. (Kristina) Ryan Proctor is the Executive Director and Director of Theoretical Initiatives. She also co-founded the Athena Institute for Mechanistic Science. She is the author of the book Mechanistic Criminology and has published academic articles in the American Journal of Sociology, Social Forces, Sociological Forum, Society, Journal of Criminal Justice, Criminal Justice Review, Sexuality & Culture, Journal of Men’s Studies, AIDS Education and Prevention, American Journal of Physical Anthropology, Journal of Higher Education, and Review of Higher Education. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of California at Riverside in 2010 with specializations in criminology and sociological theory. She completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in 2012 at Stanford University studying organizational and institutional theory.
K. Ryan Proctor additionally serves as a research Scientists at the United States Air Force Academy where here work applies the New Mechanical Philosophy of Science to understanding misinformation and disinformation.

Sarah R. Bostrom, Ph.D.
CO-FOUNDER, DIRECTOR OF METHODOLOGICAL AND STATISTICAL INITIATIVES
Sarah R. Bostrom is a co-founder of Athena Enterprises where she serves as the Director of Methodological and Statistical Initiatives. She received her PhD in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University in 2021 and is currently working as a research scientist on a multi-university grant on cognitive security at the United States Air Force Academy. Her research interests include phenomenon detection and measurement, the replication crisis in the social sciences, and using a mechanistic framework to integrate neuroscience into social science.

Kristina Radecki
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT, OFFICE MANAGER
Kristina Radecki serves as the Executive Assistant/Office Manager for Athena Institute for Mechanistic Science. Her experience in management and passion for entomology led her to owning and managing a honeybee company where she provided education on honeybees and their ecology. This passion and managerial expertise translated to the smooth running of the administrative side of the Athena Institute including contract coordination.
