Aiming for the future.

The Athena Institute for Mechanistic Science (AIMS) was founded by K. Ryan Proctor and Sarah R. Bostrom to simultaneously address two problems in scientific research: (1) barriers to innovative science and (2) the lack of accessibility of scientific knowledge.

AIMS is a social enterprise committed to spurring rapid scientific progress and reducing the costs of science education. If robust solutions are to be found for society’s most pressing social problems, solutions must be found to the most basic of problems: knowing what solutions will likely work and making this knowledge accessible.
